Cancer & HBOT

With cancer being the second leading cause of death in the United States and no further solutions being presented by Big Pharma, patients are turning to their own research and looking for alternatives to chemo and radiation therapy.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is appearing to become a viable alternative to the standard two options that patients are usually given.

While undergoing HBOT, patients’ bodies become hyper-oxygenated. John Hopkins published an article in 2016 dsicussing, “how certain cancer stem cells thrive in low oxygen conditions.(1)”

Several other studies have eluded to this and how the use of HBOT as an adjunctive therapy for patients udergoing chemo and/or radiation therpy may be beneficial.

The Department of Experimental and Clinical Neuropathology in Warsaw, Poland published a paper stating that HBOT, “is observed to exert an inhibitory effect on cancer cell proliferation and to stimulate cancer cell apoptosis. (2)”

The Department of Neurosurgery at Loma Linda University found that, “The addition of HBOT to radiation and/or chemotherapy is tolerated and may be beneficial in patients with GBM (glioblastoma multiforme). (3)”

Although further sutdies need to be conducted, HBOT seems to hold promise as a component within the future of cancer treatment.

“I utilize mild Hyperbaric Therapy (mHBT) in all stages of cancer; upon detection, as well as pre and post surgery, pre, post and during chemo and radiation. In fact if chemotherapy is used in conjunction with mHBT, the chemotherapy dose must be reduced. The mHBT will potentate any primary cancer treatment. mHBT is the best cancer prevention and cancer remission therapy out there, bar none.”

“…cancer cells become more sensitive to irradiation in the presence of increased oxygen tension.” (Altman, Nathaniel, Oxygen Healing Therapies)

“Lack of oxygen clearly plays a major role in causing cells to become cancerous.” (Goldblatt, Harry, MD , Journal of Experimental Medicine)

”In all serious disease states we find a concomitant low oxygen state…Low oxygen in the body tissues is a sure indicator for disease…Hypoxia, or lack of oxygen in the tissues, is the fundamental cause for all degenerative disease. Things to Keep in Mind While Searching for a Suitable Hyperbaric Clinic:

Is the Clinic Using 100%, Medical-Grade Oxygen?


Are the Staff Members Medical Professionals?


Are they Using Actual Hyperbaric Chambers or Canvas Bags?


Does the Clinic Require a Prescription Prior to Beginning Therapy?

If so, they are most likely following the F.D.A. guidelines for hyperbaric medicine.
